?Key Responsibilities:??
1. Client Development & Key Account Management:??
•Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities with major European shipowners, shipyards, and marine operators.
•Build and maintain deep, long-term strategic relationships with key decision-makers.
•Develop account strategies to maximize customer lifetime value and ensure high retention and satisfaction rates.
2. Technical Solutions & Project Leadership:??
•Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and translating them into tailored marine coating solutions.
•Lead complex, high-value projects from initial specification through to successful application and delivery, coordinating closely with internal technical, product, and supply chain teams.
•Drive the approval process for our products to be included on client/yard approved vendor lists (AVL).
3. Commercial Negotiation & Execution:??
•Lead high-stakes negotiations for contracts and projects, often exceeding €1M in value.
•Manage the entire sales cycle, from quoting and order follow-up to payment collection and complaint resolution.
•Ensure flawless project execution and customer satisfaction.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Expansion:??
•Continuously monitor and report on market trends, competitor activity, and new regulatory developments.
•Represent the company at key European marine industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads.
•Identify and pursue new market segments within the marine industry.
Qualifications & Experience:??
??Must-Have:??
•Minimum of 7-10 years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of selling high-value industrial products or services into the European marine sector.
•Extensive, established network of contacts among European shipowners and/or major shipyards is essential.??
•Deep understanding of the marine industry's structure, key players, procurement cycles, and technical challenges.
•Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and discuss coating specifications, application processes, and performance criteria.
•Results-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously.
Nice-to-Have:??
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Maritime, Chemical, Corrosion), Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
•Prior experience in the marine coatings industry or a closely related field (e.g., marine equipment, technical services).
•A documented history of successfully specifying products and getting them onto approved vendor lists.
